Should I be seeing the same doctor against whom I have a medical malpractice claim?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

People call me all the time about medical malpractice matters. Where they think a doctor made a mistake and yet they’re continuing to see the same doctor. Generally from a legal perspective this is a massive mistake for a number of reasons. Number one, if you think that doctor made a mistake, what are you doing still seeing that doctor? You should move on. Second, if the doctor did make a mistake it is possible and we’ve encountered this, where the doctor is covering up the mistake. So you need to go to another doctor and get a second opinion. That’s one of the first things you should be doing if it’s medically advisable to do so.
